Reusable e-mail templates for your workflows
Write an e-mail once under Marketing → E-mail templates, use it in any workflow step, send yourself a test, and set the inbox preview line.
- New A library of e-mail templates. Marketing → E-mail templates is a new place to write the e-mails your workflows send. Create a template once and pick it in any "Send e-mail" step; when you edit the template, every automation that uses it sends the new version. From inside a workflow step you can create a new template or open the one it uses, and the step keeps its template when you come back.
- New Send yourself a test. Every template has a "Send test" button that delivers the e-mail to your inbox exactly as a workflow would send it, with your branding and variables filled in.
- New Inbox preview line. Set the short text mail apps show next to the subject. It is stored with the template and goes out with every send.
- Improved Live preview while you write. The e-mail step in the workflow builder opens a near-fullscreen editor with a live preview beside it. Drag the divider to resize, and switch the preview between light and dark to see what your subscribers will see.
- Improved Switch templates from the editor header, and leave safely. The template editor lets you jump between templates from its header. Closing with unsaved changes asks whether to save, discard, or keep editing instead of dropping your work.
- Fixed Clean characters in workflow e-mails. E-mails written with brackets or other special characters no longer arrive with stray backslashes in front of them.
